  1. The problem

Speech and language therapy services are struggling to meet growing patient demand. Workforce shortages and inefficient care delivery lead to long waits, inadequate therapy intensity, and unequal access to treatment. Language barriers further limit therapists’ ability to deliver effective care to patients whose first language is not English, deepening existing health inequalities.

  2. How it works

BV combines real-time speech analytics, generative AI, and evidence-based therapy to personalise treatment, enable interactive home practice, and remotely monitor patient progress. Automated performance tracking and clinical documentation reduce administrative burden, helping SLTs deliver more intensive, accessible, and efficient care without increasing workload.

  3. Impact

Across a multi-site NHS evaluation, a separate community-service and outpatient service case studies, Beautiful Voice demonstrated: - Cost savings: Estimated 13.7% average reduction in therapy costs per patient across three NHS Trusts, and £487 savings per patient in the community service. - Clinical efficiency: 51% reduction in therapy preparation time, 20% shorter sessions and 95% faster assessment documentation. - Access to care: 56% shorter stroke waiting times, 65% shorter neuro-rehabilitation waits. - Clinical outcomes: 14% average improvement in everyday communication. 19% on Frenchay Dysarthria assessment. 25% on Quick Aphasia Battery.
